2016:

 In the Animal Systems category at the San Antonio Livestock Show, Kennedy Walker presented her research titled What Food Will Attract More Deer:  Corn, High Protein Feed, Alfalfa Hay, or Coastal Hay?.  Also in the Animal Systems category, Clarissa Escamilla presented her research titled Cattle Breeds Benefiting the Most from the Feed Efficiency Program at the Genetic Development Center.  Placing 5th in the Social Systems category, Rebekah Carnell presented her project titled Are Misconceptions about the Dairy Industry Affecting the Decline in Students Showing Dairy Cattle?.  Mary Jones competed in the Environmental Services and Natural Resources category with her research over The Effects of Manure, Pesticide, and Fertilizer on Fish Behavior and Water Quality.”  Mary placed 5th in her category at San Antonio and at State Convention.  Haely Upton researched and built a device to determine if it Is Possible to Build a Cost Effective Device to Move Show Birds to Increase Weight Gain.  Haely won Reserve Champion in the Power, Structural, and Technical Systems category at the San Antonio Livestock Show and place 10th overall, out of all of the projects presented at the Houston Livestock Show.



Michaela Barringer won 1st at State in the Animal Systems category in 2014 and advanced to Nationals with her project "Maximizing Feed Efficiency Through Feeding Supplemental Protein to Broilers".
